What I want is a manager a bit like Goodwin. Yes he made a load of mistakes but what I want is a manager in the face of the referee at the end saying “What the f**k are you playing at not giving us a penalty?” And on the phone tomorrow to say Alan Muir better not be near another United game, ever.
Some fire in the belly Tam or here’s the door - end of Show some fight and like Goodwin take a yellow card in standing up for the team!!

Team selection pathetic when you sign guy in form and sit him on bench at start . Talking about starts why are we so f****** slow to get into a game never on front foot as to busy p****** about with passing sideways and backwards . Pawlett, harkes and fuchs drop them as giving us f*** all in a game . I've gave him hard time on here but get butcher back in with glass also in and start going at teams from start

I've been saying for ages we need taller stronger harder players. We're a soft touch and managers like Goodwin know it.
If Harkes Pawlett and Macnulty got released tomorrow i would be so happy, i would be jumping for joy at 60 can't jump very high now, buy boy i would make my day, but they will be playing on saturday , Harkes i think could no touch baw once in 90mins and still start next game, but wont happen somebody up there likes them.

This is what I'm on about. If you had a taperecording of the teamtalks before the players went out tonight it might have sounded something like this..

Tam. Ok lads listen up. Remember what we've worked on this week. Defence tight as always. Move as a unit, remember the block we've worked on. Before insertions into the final third make sure you're all in the correct starting positions. Take your time and look for the spaces. Make turnovers clean. Don't take unnecessary risks when in possession and then bring Marc into the game from his preferred angle. Off you go, enjoy your football.

Goodwin. Just seen their team sheet boys. They've got a gangly centre back playing at right back. He's got no pace, you can get at him. They've left Watt on the bench because they think they can beat you without him. Taking the piss if you ask me. They're playing McNulty up front, give him a few hard cracks he'll fade. Their midfield is powder puff and they'll give you plenty of the ball. Use it, hurt them, get right in their faces from the first minute and they'll crumble. We need these 3 points lads, go out there and fight for them.
You're harder than them, you're stronger than them, you're better than them, go do it lads

And that is the difference between a manager learning from manuals and a battle hardened operator.

Totally agree this is what I’m on about
I was very sceptical about Tams appointment and it is coming home to roost!

I think its unfair to blame McNulty for his display tonight with his first game back from injury and was never sharp enough before he was injured so how would he be sharp now. That is purely the managers fault, as is playing Nielsen at full back. I am also thinking its unfair to lay any blame at Pawlett as well as i think he was one of the better players, but that bar is so fecking low!

Leaving Benji, Edwards and Mulgrew out of this, there was just so many players who were collectively just utterly ineffectual.

McMann i just do not know where he has gone?
Niskanen has had one or 2 good games and thats it.
Levitt just back from injury and didnt look interested.
Fuchs just didnt look interested full stop.
Harkes is the worst ive seen him and wonder how he has went from player of the month to tonight?
Neilsen just isnt a right back and looked like he wanted to be elsewhere.

This isnt just tonight, its been bubbling away over the last god knows how many games, and i think TCs target of 48 points is now out of reach, as is a top 6 spot, even though we are only 3 points off that. I am looking for reasons why so many players are a shadow of what they can be, and that has to be down to the way they are being coached, and there are too many rumours that all is not well!

All you missed there is Tam, reading from his eye pad, and Jim singing from the heart!

However, i doubt Jim had to say much in the dressing room as all his work is burnt into the heads of his players on the training ground.

One question then I'm off here again for a bit again!

    You're a professional footballer.
    You're position is striker.
    You're fit.
Ok it's your first game back but you're fit.

The ball gets played to you 7 yards from the goal. It's coming at you at about 30mph but there's no defenders on you. You're clear.

The goal is straight ahead of you.
There's a goalkeeper on the line but
The goal is 7.3 metres wide. 2.4 metres high.
    You are 7 yards away.

    Can you hit that target?
    .........

Absolutely stinking 1st half. Really awful.

McNulty is useless. Please get rid.

Fuchs looks to have completely lost it. On current form his options for the future must be shrinking game by game.

Team formation dismally wrong. Pawlett stuck out on the wing and was only able to get involved when he abandoned that position an came in to get involved.

    Harkes was anonymous as usual.

Neilson is not for me I'm afraid.

All round, a really dismal night for us.
