EFL had a meeting planned for today with MPs and Councillors. Due to things happening behind the scenes they have postponed it until tomorrow as it appears that things are moving forward in a positive way.
Apparently there was also a meeting today between supporters groups and Admin. Somebody posted this as what was spoken about...
No money is coming in from the EFL including the ‘usual’ TV revenue as this is withheld.
The ongoing funding requirements are approximately £1.25m-£1.75m per month.
Mel Morris has not been directly asked to help fund the club until the end of season. However the club is not being charged rent on the stadium at the moment, and MSD have loaned money to help cover costs for the last three months, secured against the stadium, with Mel Morris’ assistance and consent.
Three potential bidders have made offers, well in excess of the value of the club’s assets.
The deferred payment to Arsenal has been paid.
The EFL probably want the administrators to be more ruthless, but it is not their intention to do that.
It seems Appleby has upped his bis bid to include the stadium. Hopefully that motivates Binnie to up his and Ashley to up/make his bid.
All good for DCFC and, more importantly IMO, for our creditors.
Surely little doubt now, with three obviously interested and increasingly competitive bidders, that something will be sorted. We are seeing the sort of brinkmanship that has been expected over the last month and I feel increasingly confident that our future will be secured, although whether things are in place to enable any strengthening aimed at maintaining our Championship status remains a doubt.
Hope we can hang on to our youngsters until this is sorted. Have heard from a good source that Buchanan has no interest in going to Forest and as for Sibley...he’s a Derby lad who wears his heart on his sleeve. Feel sure Derby in League One would be preferable to the wasteland of Millwall.
Paper talk (or is it mere clickbait) that there is German and Italian interest in Festy.
Knight apparently saying he'd rather stay and learn from Rooney than go to L**ds or the Toon. Today Wolves also said to be interested in him.
Get the £7M sorted first to see the season out, then get a buyer sorted and then look to a future coming out of Admin and building for the future.
With regard to coming out of Admin. There is a threat of a further 15 point deduction when we do. I'm not sure what that's for. Do we get it whatever or do we get it if we don't pay 100% of the debts..... and it looks like we're aiming at the 25% minimum....
