Have to admit, I'm always wary of websites like that and where they get their transfer rumours from. There are indeed other sources of media running the story, mainly local press, but they're all pulling the links from the FLW article, whoever they are.

I'd be sorry to see him go without having ever been given a proper run in, what I regard as his best position, wide left of a front 3/midfield 5.

he has Watt and Inni ahead of him in his "prefered position" so can see him going

Can't see him getting an extension anyway. I don't particularly rate Niskanen if I'm being honest but he's Courts' man for that role.

Agree, he’s never really had a proper run to prove himself capable.

And that's because every time he does get a start he doesn't take the chance. He is living off a couple of month spell 2 and a half years ago.

I'm a big fan of Appere's, I think he has all the tools to be a top player, but he isn't 18 any more.

People develop at different rates, don’t they?

They do. But we can't wait another 8 years to find out when he will get the consistency required to play at this level. We are still waiting on Peter Pawlett to show that!

    The 2 are hardly comparable!

Pawlett is someone elses product, probably had his best years at the Sheep, moved doon sooth and injury looks to have stunted his potential. I assume he is still carrying some sort of injury and may be in the middle of his last suitably sized contract.

Appere is our own product and for whatever reason has not built on the potential that people thought was there, only a fraction of which he showed us at times through one season.

We aint gonna get interest in Pawlett, and as much as i want him to do well, if someone is willing to send us some cash for Appere, maybe its time to let him go and see if he can make it. You never know, he could become the next Scott Frazer who i hear is on the verge of another move!
