Watched a programme this morning regarding covid, on sky page 515, bloke on about
how China are raking the money in sales of items related to covid.
He said they make the syringes & masks & PPE equipment, & sales have gone
through the roof, with China turning up the manufacturing of these items.
Yet he said China brought the pandemic to the world, & their economy is good.

Its important that we have a full review how we closed the country down and exaggerated deaths to create fear. After that we need to follow the money and I think we will find that a lot of it we to China

My issue with this is that could make it personal choice to wash their hands. People still get infections in hospital. We still have outbreaks of flesh eating bacteria so does that mean we should stop cleaning hospitals because most people don't get it and some people will anyway?

I'd rather medical staff urged on the side of caution and lessened the risk. That includes hand washing and getting jabbed.

Can we all agree that the jab does not stop you getting the virus or passing it on.

Therefore if you are in a high risk group, the people you come into contact with can pass it on to you if they are jabbed or not.

So the best you can do if you are vulnerable is get jabbed and reduce the amount of contact with others, be they jabbed or not.

Come on, there's a big difference between those two things, that's ridiculous trying to link them.

The only argument you can make is that VMs are ideological and political, its no longer to do with health and science or even "the science"

This thread is fascinating, so many misinformed people with only a superficial understanding of what they read and interpret.

We didn't "exaggerate deaths". We have multiple methods of recording covid deaths, none of them are perfect.

There are figures for each of them. One involves counting the number of deaths during covid compared to the average in non-covid times. One of them involves counting covid deaths where it is recorded as such on the death certificate.

The reason we predominantly use the deaths within 30 days of a positive test isn't to "artificially increase the figures to create fear", its because its the best we have in terms of speed at which we can get accurate data, and the absence of subjectivity (no doctor can be accused of bias/having an agenda in how they record a death re:covid).

Yes, you get some cases that aren't deaths caused by covid, but as a metric to assess how deadly the virus is in the country at a given time relatively speaking, it's the best we have.

Yes, China has undoubtedly profited from PPE sales etc, but this is not proof of any conspiracy, it merely reflects China's status as a manufacturing powerhouse and the rise in demand for certain products. Demand elsewhere will have fallen.
