Frank, Sing when you're losing, You only sing when you're losing

Frank has not been in these parts for a while. He must be luxuriating in a board that he has to himself. When I were a lad we all had to share a board. Tell that t' t'young uns now and they don't believe you.

When I was a lad we used to DREAM of sharing a board. We used to have to use a bit of rock to scratch our comments onto the cave wall.

Limestone rock? Luxury. We had to do with igneous. We used to get up two hours before we’d gone to bed, Clean ‘t’ quarry with our chest-hair, hack igneous rock out with us toenails all for five pence a week if we were lucky. Then scratch messages on ‘t’ nearest passing Scotsman. Cave would have been a palace to us.

    Great spotting there.

Morse's first name was Endeavour. He was named after James Cook's vessel HM Bark Endeavour. Morse mentions that his mother was a Quaker, who have a tradition of "virtue names", and his father was a fan of Captain Cook.

Lewis's first name was Robert (Robbie).

We may think that Frank is on his way out but I expect him to turn around and say "Just one more thing sir .....".

That started because they forgot to film a question that was important to the plot as I instead of doing it all over again they just filmed Colombo saying " Just one more thing" and it caught on,I got into a Columbo forum late one night, don't ask me how 🤔
