    If this is correct, it's on the owners, not Burch, he's only playing the style they want and with the players they are giving him.

    Unbelievably poor performance by so many players. Is the new keeper an upgrade on Slocombe? Back 3 were largely the better players in the side for me. Both wing backs were poor, particularly Taylor (after the opening 20 minutes or so). Midfield out fought and played us in to trouble, I said to a lad I was sat with that the only way Grimsby score is from our mistakes. Cal provides moments of class. The only player to do so. Wootton was dreadful, with Sam doing more for the side in his cameo.
    In summary the best team on the day won.

    That's exactly what we had at this stage last season. Ardley lasted two further games.
