We are 3pts away from 4th but most on here would say we're more likely to finish 10th but cup half full 👍

and somebody tell me why Funster Mackie is gloating on here whilst his team are bottom 🤔

    Something is MASSIVELY wrong here.

Plenty folk are showing stats, plenty folk are mentioning players/manager etc, but it has to be something far worse.

Not only can't we beat/score against teams below us or around us, we can't even score against 10 men...

I will never give up on United , but.... I am absolutely gutted having to watch whatever this Sh*te is meant to be.

The manager is out of his depth, as many feared before the start of the season. Obviously initial results were good but he and his team/formation/tactics have been found out, and he has no Plan B.
Don’t think he has much say in transfers either, because if he does, then he’s even more culpable for not addressing specific areas in Jan.
Mellon got grief for how we played, but dearie me, this is worse! Tony Watt is the only shining light recently!

At no point this season have we been regularly scoring or creating chances. Hibs away the only time I can remember. Aside from that is was down to keeping a clean sheet and sneaking a goal. So, not that much has actually changed aside from not sneaking the goal in these games. Tough to watch when you don't get the win though. ☹️

No way to be sure, but it seems a bit odd that players who were all doing really well for the first couple of months of the season are now completely incapable of doing the things that were working for us before.

Look at last season - Melon had us playing fairly positive stuff in the first few games, wins away to both Motherwell and Ross County spring to mind. Then all of a sudden he went completely negative, no shots at goal, playing for 0-0 eye bleeding tactics. And we all know that Micky wasn't happy with something going on behind the scenes.

I see similarities with this season, it has just taken a bit longer to get there. It's not just one or two players have lost form or gone off the boil - it's all of them.

(Played for 15 mins against 10 men).

    V Dundee 11 shots 0 on target.
(Could not hit the target from even 6 yards).

    V Saints 14 shots 3 on target.

That's 47 shots with only 8 on target.

Does not make for good reading.
That means we have a 25% goals to shots on target ratio, not to shabby troops.

Just thought i'd save Shedka the bother of posting that later tonight.

Really ADS??? I think you missed my point totally (not for the first time)

It can't just be the players or manager (or both) that is causing whatever is going wrong at the club.
We have had plenty players and quite a few managers in the last few years and yet, whatever went wrong then seems to still be going wrong now.

We must be the most unluckiest club in Scotland to have changed numerous squads and a few managers yet still seem to be watching the same tactics, game plan (whatever it is called nowadays)

There seems to be an acceptance within the club that we have a long term game-plan and all will turn out good in the end. Rubbish. We have been treading water for too many years now and if it wasn't for the heads we are standing on in the deep end we will drown along with them.

Without looking up all the stats, I'm pretty sure we were having way more shots at goal throughout August/September/October than we have in the three months since.

I remember checking the stats during our last game v Motherwell. 80 minutes played and we had had 4 shots (I think none on target) compared to their 24 shots. You would think we were playing Celtic at Parkhead with numbers like that.

As others have posted before thank phuck we got them points on the board early doors or we would be in a 3 way fight for 11th and 12th.

I honestly think right now we are in three way fight with Dundee and St. John. Livi, st mirren and county will keep picking up wins along the way.

Do we have enough to stay clear? Im not sure, we quite literally cannot score goals, and are relying on fluking a couple of home wins between now and end of season, and Dundee and St. John not picking up.

I don’t think it matters who is in dug out, or combination of players used, they aren’t in the squad. The lack of pace in squad going forwards or pace strength up top has been an issue for 2 seasons now.

What makes this even worse for next season is i reckon Arbroath and Killie will come up at the expense of The Funsters and The Saints which makes it an even more competitive league with that shyte removed.
Its time the lack of pace and creativity was addressed by Tony,we all know he is in full control of recruitment.
