Courts says he felt united fans frustration, when we are havinng wave after wave of attacks, and don't get the breakthrough. The key thing for Courts is as long as wee peek at the right time, be in the Daily record, get him away to fk out my club, least he got me laughing with the last comment. one thing you do not do is pool wool over your own fans, your near the end when you start that carry on.. fk ****

It doesn’t quite work the same with Pawlett, Harkes, Clark and McNulty. Sometimes you have to just piss with the c()ck you’ve got. TC would be minded to recognise this.
my ssb season ticket holder son in law says the same about them. modern fitba .s..te.

Problem is how do you change when you have zero pace on the flanks or through the team to get you up the pitch quickly, and Zero pace or even height and strength up top to go direct or in behind.

Our form isn't good and importantly our brand of football isn't inspiring to say the least but you only have to look across the road to get a bit of perspective.

We've won the same number of games as Hibs and Aberdeen who massively outspent us in the transfer market and we're 11 points ahead of the play off position.

Didn't see the game but from the comments sounds like more of the same. Looking at the teamsheet we had a midfield that included Butcher Harkes Pawlett and Clark. I've been saying for a long long time that we will need better than that if things are to change.

How did Akinola do by the way? Someone said he looked decent but got subbied at halftime?

Anyways I think we have to tough this out and see what the summer transfer window brings. Not what we want but some patience needed.

Think this is the 3rd time ive signed in to comment, but im struggling.

One shining light through that today is how good Ross Graham is. I hope him and Edwards have that centre partnership sown up for the next 2 or 3 seasons.

How can it be though that we have a full set of decent defenders with cover, but forward of that we only have one player who should be a consistent first choice, many others that are getting a start week after week, with so many who are out on loan or shown the door!

I also thought Akinola played well and was getting better as the game went on. I think he was victim of a formation change at half time. Wasn't surprised to see Levitt go off though, I thought he was poor first half.

Its obvious the team is struggling with people carrying knocks, but maybe starting with CMs as Butcher and Akinola would have seen the latter getting up to speed a bit quicker. Seemed to have the ability to get out of tight spots with the ball heading towards their goal, so hopefully today hasnt dented his confidence too much!

Said to my pal at the game, this draw takes us to 6th and a goal will get us to 5th! Crazy when you think how sh!te we've been.

Butcher started at centre half. Was centre mid in the second half. If anything that hindered us as Edwards and Graham aren't ball playing defenders. Butcher at least gives us that when he's played there and can come out of defence with the ball.

Akinola was decent. Skillful, composed and as Chick says, very good at getting out of tight spaces with the ball. He was the victim of a tactical change with Courts wanting McMann on whilst also taking Levitt off. I guess he didn't fancy Harkes & Akinola so stuck Butcher in there. Harkes really does seem undroppable. Was disappointing tbh. I was looking forward to seeing him in the 2nd half.

Pawlett was mince. Clark meh. Smith poor. His crossing is terrible. Watt spent half the game in midfield, probably due to frustration at us having zero in the creativity department. Graham was decent again however we could do with Charlie back as he builds from the back.

Boo'd off the park big time which I didn't like. Its only going to have a negative impact on a group of players who already look fragile imo.

Onto Wednesday and a chance to go 5th as Motherwell are on a poorer run than us over the last four or five games.

To be fair, I don’t the think the punters were booing the team. It’s TC that’s the focus of the anger IMO.
