And I'm tired of the OTT negativity towards manager and team and listening to boos after an away draw at Mcdiarmid after a busy schedule where we only lost one game to a late winner at Celtic despite clearly carrying players who aren't all fully fit

I disagree it's anything like as bad as that, first point I take you up on is the strength of the league, its stronger than last season and more even across the board outside the top 3

The only thing that I'm not enjoying is the lack of chances created, but then we've just played three away games on the bounce, one at Celtic, two against teams battling like mad in derbies (saints see it as one), even then Clark should bury the sitter at dens and we win

Last home game we won, we have another Wed that could build momentum, teams at the top of the championship are no mugs especially away from home, its a difficult tie for us, of course its better they aren't fully rested while we play on Wed, especially as like I've said we are carrying knocks, McMann etc aren't fully fit, still missing Mulgrew and Freeman

I thought we did well at dens overall, watched it back, wasn't pretty but not as bad as I thought on the night, it was our third game in 6 days and they had the free weekend and btw that's the first time since the 80s we've kept back to back cleansheets at dens! and as for mcdiarmid it isn't long ago better a Utd side was losing every time there, we've not lost in our last five visits keeping a cleansheet in every one

For me is still just over halfway through our second season back after four years away, people forget how daft we've come from three years ago and it still take time to get back to anything like our 2008-2015 consistency

It's never good when fans boo the players but how else do they show their disapproval? Supporters are spending money on tickets, travel etc. and have every right to vent their feelings. I don't buy into the "counter productive" argument. It's not as if it's going to put the players off to such an extent that they end up playing crap - they aren't doing the business as it is. God forbid we all end up applauding whatever dross the team delivers because we are frightened to upset the wee souls.

While you're doing statistics, three games without a shot on target is the one that's pissing people off. Two games against the bottom two teams and absolutely no attempt made to win either. You OK with that I take it?

Arbroath are currently a far better team to watch than we are.

We have not long come back from a winter break FFS.

Strong league? Probably the worst the league has been for a long time.

You are not being positive - you are deluded.

What have Arbroath got to do with it? I don't watch they're games but saw a bit of the Killie game and neither ran Impressed me but happy to see them do well in that division

Did I say I'm ok with it, i said three away games as we scored two last home game (plus created plenty v St Mirren before that and lost so cleansheets matter) , I'm not overly upset though as we didn't lose the last two, Celtic away no shot on target, no big deal, not worth including, we were set up excellent with a game plan, same as at Ibrox and Celtic Park in Sept

Dens plenty blocked shots with fun players throwing themselves in front of things and battling, Clarks chance better than any shot straight at keeper (mcmullans for example), Sat was more disappointing for me as we didn't create anything guilt edged or work Zander Clark, like say at Tannadice where he was the difference between the sides that day, the best chances were Watt off the post and Clarks flick header which should really have been touched in by Edwards

Positive is we look solid again, negative is no goals in away, positive is home game next and chance to make it back to back wins, IF we win Wed, its a very decent 2-3 weeks overall

Its clearly stronger than last year, Hearts and dundee are better than Killie/Accies right away, I'm not being deluded at all, I want Courts to do well and disagree with a manager change, I'm happy enough with our current position, would have taken it in August to be in a cluster of teams outside the top three with a good chance of top six or better, glad we recovered far the losing run

Each to their own opinion I guess. I've been one of the more positive posters this season tbh, but the run we've been on and the absolute lack of intent lately has ground me down. I'm of course lucky that not being able to attend much means it's not my hard earned cash being wasted week in week out, but I absolutely feel for those that are spending funds that don't come easy to watch the absolute shyte that's being served up. Arbroath looked a much more exciting team to watch than we are was my point, but you knew that already. When Arbroath are a better team to watch than Dundee United then its time for fans to worry imo.

Of course but not during the game, surely?

Shedka your posts are littered with mights and the coulds, oh and of course clean sheets.
We have not scored in 5 successive away league games, we have lost 4 of our last 5 home league games.
We signed the league's top scorer but he hasn't scored yet (I hear you muttering he's saving his 1st for Well and I hope he does)

My points are perceived by you as negative but they are fact. A lot of fans rightly don't like it and are entitled to their opinions

Things aren't black and white, you can be positive without being happy about everything, I'm not happy how we played Sat, especially when they went to ten men, it wasn't good to watch and we never looked like scoring had we played for another 90 mins on top

At same time I'm not overly worried or concerned as we've addressed the defence since of things and I don't see us continuing to not score so optimism there, that got us wins earlier in season

Plus Watt still looks a really good signing and a goal isn't far away from him
