Not what I expected at all but I’m so glad I watched it.

My own take on this ( I don’t want to spoil it for others ) is that for me it meant a lot at this time on a personal level.

I found certain parts incredibly hard to watch and very, very emotional.

I think this film is meant to strike a chord with different people in different ways and at a time where I’m being forced in my own life to be very self reflective, it really hit home.

It’s a very sad, very thoughtful and very uplifting film all in one.

I will watch it many more times in the future and it will forever be one of my favourites despite that fact that if I’d read up on it before watching it I wouldn’t have watched it.

A wonderful piece of acting by Sam Worthington as well.

Don’t read up on it would be my advice, just watch it, stick with it all the way through and if you are susceptible to shedding the odd tear then watch it on your own.

It really made me think mate, I found it very moving in parts.

Prepare yourself for the bit near the end when he’s in the cave having the conversation.

I won’t disclose anymore so as not to spoil it but I was in bits.
