Watt is some player no doubt about it but he is playing at a strikers graveyard. If you were to have given him identical fixtures playing for Motherwell as he has played for us he would have increased his goal scoring tally,of that i am certain.
As most on here will know i'm self employed and Wednesday is my busiest and longest shift of the week,i could juggle things around and work a different night but its an FN sad old FACT that at this particular time i would rather work on my normal evening than sit in the freezing cold watching some of the worst football ever played in our history.
My season ticket will not be wasted though as someone in the family will use it.I have to admit though i will not be renewing my season ticket for next season unless Dundee United Football Club actually start honouring the contract by playing football. This isnae some kind of protest or anything like that but i take you back to Tony at the fans meeting saying,"Were you happy watching that?."
He of course was referring to the football played under Micky Mellon but fortunately we were all locked down and only had to suffer that brutal brand of football in our living room's,now we are expected to sit in the freezing cold watching Tam's brand which in truth is not any better,FACT.
I am and always will be a diehard Arab but i'm getting older now and cannie be ersed going to Tannadice or away to watch the absolute shyte on offer,i watched Arbroath v Killie the other night and something there reminded me of the good old days of following United,a great atmosphere and the home team playing out of their skins to compete with a much wealthier club and prevailing. They reminded me so much of my team in the late 60's early 70's,i really miss that United who had never won a trophy but gave the fans everything they had,FACT.
Gunboat really good post , cause everyone to there own, but your post is as close to the way i feel, i am 60 in few weeks do i think i will ever see united in a final ever again, oh i would love it once more, but hand on heart i don't think i will, but i can live with that , we have no god given right to win anything, but i think we should all expect and demand for us to play so much better football than what is on offer, it is a fk disgrace..
Great post gunboat especially the part about Tony asking if we were happy watching that.
Craigbrew I know where you are coming from. I am 67 now and very unlikely to see us lifting another trophy. I must say I’m not looking forward to going to the game on Wednesday. For me besides the awful football we currently witness I hate driving up the A92 and back in the darkness. It’s an age thing I’m afraid.
I just hope that this week it will be worth it.
No disrespect GB but I'm losing count of the number of times you say you aren't getting another season ticket.
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!

60 is nothing these days. I hope your health is good and you have many more years ahead of you.
Take it from someone who knows, it's better not thinking about things you'll never do or see again. ☹️
My advice (for what it's worth), enjoy every moment while you are still able.
4-1 United. Watt Double. Pus shutting champion back in the groove. Either that or a 0-0 snoozefest.
