    Paul Cook

Set to return as Manager of Chesterfield ? No disrespect to them , thought he may have gone to a so called "bigger club" , although his last job at Ipswich failed miserably, he spent plenty of money and brought in a dozen or so new players , and still failed ,

Never really rated him although he should do okay at Chesterfield.
Done a reasonable job at some clubs he's managed and failed miserably at Ipswich Town despite having a clear out of players and bringing in practically a brand new squad.
Investment owners at Ipswich will be more than a little disappointed so far.

Could do well for us in Division Four under new owners in a couple of years.

To be fair Roma most managers ask what the budget is before they commit to the job.
Always remember when we parted company with Steve Evans.
A much travelled manager ( won't name him ) came for an interview, walked into the interview room, slammed a big piece of paper on the desk and said, " that's what I want ", that's my backroom staff " " thats the players I want ".
Needless to say he failed to get the job.

Thanks for the good luck wishes for our game on Sunday.
Could go either way, we will be looking for the win rather than a draw.
Ps..League 1 is rubbish this season lol..

    You take care.

How many managers would get instant success with about 20 new players?

I would give some concessions and patience for a manager in that scenario

Granted it takes time to gel players to play the way he wants and some of the Ipswich players ought to take some of the responsibility.
Cook dropped a player from the squad, difference of opinion perhaps ? That player is now back in the squad.
Cook was already in charge when the new owners took over at Ipswich and unfortunately new owners, investment companies want instant succes. Never going to happen in my opinion .
Paul Cook did bring in some decent players at Ipswich and so far they're underperforming.
Ipswich need to get back to the Premiership asap, it's where the ' big money is '.

He will do a decent job at Chesterfield, just my opinion.
