There is no getting away from the working classness of Mark Bonner. His accent is deep south, deep sarf of Cambridgeshire, there is no similarity or little, to Mark Johnson or Doug Shulman.
His media calls are embarrasing, what does he wear?, youd think he would smarten up. No Claudio Ranieri there. Class goes a long way. If you attend an interview for the Stoke job, and talk like your from Melbourne, youve had it, i know, ive been up there.
He obviously hasnt had an education, if you go to University you lose your accent.
You start PRONOUNCING words properly. You dont talk Cherry Hinton to an intellectual, he will think your a troglodyte. And you will not get invited to events if you embarrass the hosts. Talking Cherry Hinton or worse, you would. Oh, and you wont get the Stoke job, be thankful for that.
Anyway, if i ever saw Bonner in a suit, id have a heart attack through laughing. If there was a sprinkler system in the office, it would turn on. What would he say if he was asked for his opinion of Friulan red? Or Ravels nocturns?
The gulf from working classness to educated is huge, even if he doesnt have an opinion on Friulan red, a proper response would not be beyond him, if he had an education. As for his socialism, this guarantees exclusion from good society.
Even without upper classness, its a pox infecting the poor. Anyone signing up to that nonsense has no future. It is failure.
Bonner has already burned his boats in that sense, he is doomed to div 1, 2 and non league, no matter how good he is. And he wont care.
As for Burton, i remember when Burton were paupers....in the southern league in the 60s. Now look at them thats how you run a club. The owner puts in appropriate money, not takes it out. Burton have half the fans of United.
This is my attempt to rescue Bonner from faulty conditioning. Will it work?, no. Talking of Friulan red, heres a gift for you working class plebs. Do venice cheap like. Look for hotels in Grado or Lido di Josolo, theres plenty. Visit Venice by train for the day, or several days, or stay a night.
Theres Acquilaliea, the Roman ruins, Palmanova, Udine, Clodig in the north, and even Slovenia. Grado is recommended its a beach holiday too, full of bars restaurants etc, it has the most sunshine hours in Italy. Ticks all boxes. Dont expect to meet brits there.
This is interesting, on the beach front behind a path in Grado there is a monument to a downed bomber crew from ww2. It crashed in the bay. The plane was german.
