I'm sure you're as aware as I am BT, but seeing as it's Sunday, I'll play along and list them for you.

Bardsley, Barnes, Cork, Gudmundson, Hennessey, Lennon, Long , Lowton, Mee, Pieters, Rodriguez, Stephens, Westwood.

And just for good measure, we have four others, all turning 30 before the year is out.

Eight players on that list have all played international football sinkov and without even bothering to fact find, they will have racked up easily 1000 games in the EPL between them.

Ronaldo is now 37 and playing, so I'm sure most of our set of crocked pensioners can handle another 3 or 4 years before they decide to quit, don't you?

They can quit when they like BT, but when you're over 30 in football you're ageing. The average age of our squad is the oldest in the PL by some distance, we have 17 players aged 29 or over, for comparison, Watford have 12, Liverpool 10, Norwich 8, Leeds 6, Man City 6 and Spurs just 4.

That we have an aging squad is a fact, that our players are mostly journeymen is a fact, if you doubt it look at the League Table, that's where clubs with the journeymen players always end up. Just a fact of footballing life.

The thing is imo if we’re going down it’s a big difference in quality and pace so there are an odd one or two that could maybe do a job for us as part of a squad ( not saying they’d start every week ).

Truthfully a few of the names are going to the level they s be playing at - as for the Ronaldo analogy - Ashley Barnes - JBG or Ronaldo it’s not really a hard choice is it.

I was not claiming our lot are better than Ronaldo, I'm just alluding to the fact elite professional footballers are not ready for the knackers yard at 30.

Neither are they as effective as elite professional footballers at 25-28, and if you overload your squad with them, which is what we have done, you end up bottom of the league, which is where we are.
