But from the outside looking in, why do we always seem to needlessly rub other teams up the wrong way??? No wonder we can’t sign any decent players, who would want to do business with Dover??

This isn’t just tonight. This isn’t even just Notts County. They are just another team on a long list who have had apparent issues with the club. On the balance of credibility, surely they can’t all be wrong?

This one takes a different view

However,

this league is the feeder one for non-league sides to get into the EFL, isn’t it?

A place for small clubs to progress from?

It was full of Crap tea, awfully thin turnstiles, matchday programs with 35 typos.

Well it used to be, in the days of part time players aiming for the pinnacle of non-league football.

Unfortunately it’s now been swamped by Notts-Happy-County, Gripesby, HollyWood Wreck-Sam et al, and in all honesty, I’m happier following a team made up of players who have a proper job 9-5, without a manager whinging that the grass is too wet to play.

Bemoan DAFC as much as you like, but it is what it is, and we have been in the national league far longer than these EFL failures…

As stated before, if you’d really been worried about damp grass and fought a bit harder, you wouldn’t now be in the gutter of proper non-league.

Get over yourselves Notts Happy.

We’ve seen it, done it, experienced it and suffered national cancellations for over 30 years.

Why should you be so special?

A reply to the above...

Sorry, there’s a way we should deal with other clubs, whether they have money or not. When the boot was on the other foot, we bemoaned Eastleigh and Havent for exactly the same thing.
I fully agree with the poster who says "if you’d really been worried about damp grass and fought a bit harder, you wouldn’t now be in the gutter of proper non-league". We are here because we deserve to be here, but that isn't the issue in this case. The National League has now become a proper Division 5, it's no longer "the days of part time players aiming for the pinnacle of non-league football". Surely it's not too much to ask to show fans of other clubs a bit of respect, not because their club is bigger and wealthier, but because they are fans. Dover are a small club, but that doesn't mean they have to act like a small club.
