That's when you need to burn guesses to figure out the missing letter in 1 or 2 'wasted' words.

Scraped quordle again in 6,7,8,9. Never even knew that 1st word was a word. Thought I had it in 2, then 3 and in the end got it last with the most likely of the letters I had left.

Not sure why you would burn a guess when you can have a guess at the word….I think gru is having a bigger effect on here than I thought..!.

Take the other day for example when the word was SHAKE and say by chance your 1st guess was SHADE. You'd know 1,2,3 and 5 were right, would have 5 guesses left and could go with SHAKE, SHALE, SHAME, SHAPE, SHARE, SHAVE so in essence wouldn't be guaranteed to get the answer. However if you went with MILKY and VIPER as your 2nd and 3rd guess you'd cover all the permutations and be guaranteed get it in either 3 or 4.

Not that it matters how many you do it in according to Brin
