I remember Jamie mccunnie taking to the first team like a duck to water for half a season. Looked an amazing talent. Genuinely don’t know what happened there, but he turned average overnight then disappeared again just as quick as he arrived on the scene. Jobbie McCall prob speeded up his departure as he wasn’t really interested in youth, but mcunnie faded out after Utd too. Don’t think a poor attitude alone would explain it, he maybe just overachieved in those first 4-5 months.

100% a player having the wrong attitude, and refusing to learn, will kill their career.

There's a coincidence! Jamie was refereeing the game I was at on Saturday, East Craigie v Downfield. He was decent too.

he admits that too - for 5 months he was brilliant - him and Charlie were great for a lot of dredging us out that season. Funny the one game where miller and mccunnie were missing was a defat to st Mirren away - won the next 4 though with them back. That season gives me the shudders too - Mathie, Buchan, Fuentes, Naveda, Vasectomy, atanagangbanga, partridge (Alan), gallop, morcandmindi - so much wasted money. Although Vasectomy was a snip to be honest.
