He's calm, composed, picks out the right passes & almost makes it look effortless such is his footballing brain. He's a better midfielder than Butcher, so with that in mind, I'd start him vs Aberdeen if he's fit. I don't see how any of that is having a go at Butcher? He was excellent at centre half but that does mean he automatically starts in midfield if we have better options.
I just don't think it's fair to drop him, Mcdonald hasn't got a full game in him yet.

I think McDonald did fine against Motherwell but he did make a few mistakes that would have got Butcher or Harkes hammered on here.

Is he ready for an away trip to the sheep?

If you really want to see Harkes get hammered head over to east football. It’s been happening for weeks there.

I think its a sell out on Saturday, heard we sold out today, the atmosphere will be a throw back to the 80's just a pity that neither team emulates the standard of them days Tony wants us to forget about.
I'm trying my best Tony but in dreams i still see Luggy,Bannon and Ralphie leaving a posse of defenders in their wake.

One of the worst wooly teams in decades, get McDonald in the team and watch Levitt and Harkes tear them apart. Aside from the mauling we gave Hibs at Easter Road we’ve not really turned on the style, think we could do that on Saturday

Doesn't look like Mcdonald is training atm so I guess he's highly doubtful for the weekend.
