Very true. Johnson has been wetting himself waiting for this to happen. Causes all press to be focused elsewhere and keeps the peeps here busy whilst he does not a lot to 'sanction' Putin. Anyone who knows the slightest thing about the Russian economy will tell you the sanctions amount to nothing more than a 'stone chip on the paint of a new car.' Russia has stragetically moved its economy away from the dollar and the west for many years now.
Well BBC news Sky news and ITV news aren't saying that but if you know more?

Be interesting to see if Abramovich shows up on Sunday at the Final. I see Shalke 04 have removed Gasprom from their shirt sponsor. Now for uefa to do the same, or is money more important?

No doubt he would want to be here for that. Wonder if it will impact Chelski?

The only sanction has already been mentioned. The SWIFT system is the only thing that may hurt Russia, but only slightly. Putin may well come across as a “raving madman” as described by some, but all in all, he’s a shrewd operator who has had his hand firmly on the tiller for so long, he’s guided the Russian economy in the direction he wants it. The NordStream 2 was a blow, but it was anticipated by Russia.
The relationship with China means he has agreements where he needs it.

With the upmost of respect, it would be quite something if all those three mentioned came along putting headlines that the UK and USA sanctions are totally useless and as much use as a chocolate fireguard!
Biden knows the sanctions are pointless. He also knows that Putin is the sort of character that will gain momentum, not lose it, hence you’ll see the NATO borders being beefed up to the point, not seen for decades. That is where the line is.
