Nowt like waxing lyrical about your team is there?
In 1980/81 our 3rd tier title winning teams record was P46 W24 D13 L9 Pts 61 (2pts for a win back then so the equivalent of 85 in today's money)
We still have 12 to play and already have 75 points.
I'm sure anyone that can remember that far back won't recall us playing our opponents off the park every week or relying on lady luck on occasions

According to someones maths we’ve only been behind for 179 minutes in the league all season. And only 15 mins away from home. Some stat.

The difference between that season and this is we were bang average away from home in 80/1 and only 21 of our 61 pts came away from Millmoor. This season, 36 of 75 have come away from NYS. Remembering back to 81 I finally thought we could get promotion on April 11th when we beat Charlton 3-0 at Millmoor but even then we had to wait until that famous last day win against today's opposition to confirm the title. That 'winning' feeling is already here this season and it's not even March yet!
