We had a number of close calls during the cold war due to computer or human error. What's happening now must raise the prospect of the end of history by mistake, considerably.

Flight Radar 24 is an interesting website at times like this. Last night there were at least three US Air force planes flying circular patterns around the western borders of Ukraine, and another doing the same over the Black Sea. One of them flies direct from RAF Mildenhall each night.

On FR24 there's currently a steady stream of small business/private jets flying west out of Moscow this evening, perhaps unsurprisingly.

Yes I noticed one RAF and two USAF tankers over Romania earlier too. Must be a lot of activity to need so much refuelling!

The RAF one (KK31) has come from Akrotiri, the USAF ones appear to be from Mildenhall and all three are still up there at the time of typing this. There's also an RAF C-17 Globemaster (RRR6422) landing at Rzeszow in Poland.

‘EU announces it has agreed unanimously amongst all member countries to take in Ukrainian refugees for up to 3 years without asking them to first apply for asylum. Just been announced following a meeting of EU Interior ministers’
All while the Uk f00ks about talking about refugees needing to apply for a seasonal work visa.

Yeah Hoss if this crisis has proved anything it’s that solidarity and co-operation between nations just doesn’t work. Look at Putin, he’s a big fan of the EU.
