Not quite, and this reply wont feature any of it either!
I am minded though to ask if you are basing your reply on having watched the Livi game, something that i thankfully did not see. If it is based on said game, i think it is harsh eluding to the Livi players being man for man less gifted than ours?
Sad fact is, there are players in that Livi team that i would welcome with open arms just now, and maybe some of the coaching staff as well!
Personally I thought McNulty was a good signing before the season started, there were mitigating circumstances around his lack of goals last season, most notably he was played out of position most of the time as Shankland was still there. However, he has had plenty time now in his favoured position and is just not delivering.
But, building a good side needs to start from the defence and we have that part of the game covered. Now we need to move on and get better up the park. Signing Watt was a great start of that.
I always remember my dad used to say build a team through spine, good centre half good guy in middle and guy no9 , he used to go united one week next Ds. Says loads people did it in 50s... i still do not think its bad idea trying that again, even more so now . there is so little money in scotland to buy players
You were doing so well in my eyes as well!
My dad in the late 50s and through the 60s went to see both sides, and when both teams were away, he would be one of many who went through to see Raith as well!
However, its bad enough to put ourselves through what our team are serving up, but to set foot in Dense as well?![]()
Neilson did that with Siegrist, Reynolds/Connolly, Butcher and eventually Shankland.
Micky did it with Siegrist, Edwards/Reynolds, Fuchs and Shankland, or thereabouts,
Tam has Siegrist, Edwards/Mulgrew, and not much else forward of that! However, i am now minded to say the teams best foundation is Siegrist with Edwards/Butcher/Graham in front of him.
