Like you I have to use heating oil (kerosene) to heat my house. Since we moved to our house in February 2007 the current price for heating oil has never been above 72p per litre despite the Brent Crude oil price in 2014 beimg the same price or higher than it is just now.

Living on Islay we pay more for our heating oil than people living in Angus due to a lack of competition.
Over ten years ago I carried out voluntary research for my MP at the time regarding the flawed market for the sale of heating oil throughout Scotland. However that is for another post if anyone is interested.
