Great assist though when he spun Mark Ellis and laid it on for Ruben according to Stallard.

We can't defend for toffee and yet some have suggested playing our best central defender Cameron as a defensive midfielder??

I don’t get why some are getting irate about tonight. We have drawn away so a playoff rival. We have drawn with arguably our best defender and our best holding midfielder absent.
That was a side that was cobbled together. A back 4 who between them haven’t played a lot of minutes. 3 midfielders who at best, warm the bench.
We are playing with a forward who seems to have gone AWOL.
When I saw that side I genuinely feared for us. The fact that we have drawn isn’t the end of the world IMO. I even saw someone moaning about us bringing on a 4ft player whilst they brought on a 6ft 8 donkey. Who should we have brought on? We had nothing on the bench.
I do agree with some of the comments about the keeper. He is definitely worse than what we have.
What also needs to be considered is freshening the squad up.

That’s five of the top seven we’ve now taken the lead at and not won any of them.

Great coach, **** manager. Prove me wrong, Ian.

Maybe. Tonight in itself isn’t a disaster, but when it’s approximately the 73rd time this season we’ve managed to drop points in a big game after taking the lead, we perhaps need to accept that there’s a pattern there.

From following other sports, not accumulating enough points to match your talent is the hallmark of a younger team.

Fast forward a couple of years, have more of our players at their peaks, and we'd probably eke out far more points. That doesn't help us this season, but it doesn't mean we have no chance - we do.

In our case it’s a hallmark of a manager who seems to genuinely believe that the best way to see out a one goal lead is to bring on another attacking player for a defensive one, despite all evidence to the contrary.

We need to get Don O'Riordan back to play as sweeper. Worked a treat 30 years ago!
