    Got to give credit

Bruce I think has stumbled upon our best current fit XI and our best formation.

Fair play to him for dropping Carroll, not many others would have. Because you couldn't fault his work rate or effort. And is using him as an impact player off the bench, which I think is the right way to use him.

Now let's stick with this side, try and get some momentum and see where it takes us. We've still got Dike to come back too and 9 games left, we've got to win almost all of them to make the play offs. But we've just played the best team in the league off the park...

I think I'm too optimistic for my own good!

Quite right, if we play like we did last night we can beat anyone but can this bunch of players keep up the intensity and can we stay free of injuries? It’s a long shot to make the playoffs now but you never know, any of the teams above us could go on a bad run and if we could maintain last nights form it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that we could go to the end of the season unbeaten. I haven’t even had a drink tonight, yet!

Last night was very pleasing! Best side? I really don’t rate Furlong as he’s one dimensional and can’t defend! Why is O’Shea being kept out!

Whilst Robinson took the goal well - for me there’s more of a talent somewhere in Diangana. We have seen this and Robinson is poor more often than great.

Yes looking forward to seeing Dike as we need an aggressive - strong and pacy striker.

Beat Bristol anything is possible. The supporters though have acknowledged the complete s hit show Bruce took over. Can see Bruce being with us next year and not a bad call if we can get playing again!

I said when we appointed him that he wasn't my favourite person or my first choice of manager in other circumstances. But in our circumstance he was the best we could get. I still believe that and hope we back him to build his side in the window, whatever division we were in.
Bruce as a player was limited in ability, but he was 100% and made up for his deficiencies, and made him a king pin in Manchester United's three premier league titles and FA cups.
So the sort of players that he would probably go for would be similar, those who could do a specific job in a given position.

Totally agree with you Des. As long as we have a crack at getting in the play offs but understand it might be a bridge too far - then I will be happy. If performances in the last 3 games are now maintained until the end of the season - Bruce should be given a crack next season if no doubt we are still in the championship. A reasonable transfer budget and a good promotion bonus for him should be offered.

Good honest guy and has made more changes than Val did all season.

This same side give or take the odd player has played awful, average, and very well. Don't get too excited. They've seen too many changes to get any consistency. Just as they get used to a managers methods the owners sack him.

No footballer would have got used to Val’s methods - as that was not football! They tried at first but all the energy was sucked out of them!

The squad is the quality of mid table and with a good manager who actually motivates them - play offs. Certainly not good enough for top two. As many have seen with Forest - Boro - QPR - Luton and Huddersfield - football can be played under an inspiring manager.

Bruce inherited a s hit show and the last three games are on par to what we saw early in 2021 before the football was actually worse than Pulis!

Been to quite a few away games and NOT spoken to one West Brom supporter who has said Val should have stayed. At away games under Bruce supporters have sang his name. Why? Because they know he inherited a
shambolic mess and he’s tried to mix it up!

You would have been deluded to have wanted Val to stay or certainly not a paying supporter investing to see that s hite!

Playing Gardner-Hickman consistently in midfield has made a huge difference. At last someone with energy and flair. Mind thought he dropped off in 2nd half as he locked knackered. Livermore and even Mowatt are both so slow. And still feel playing two fullbacks plus a back three is too defensive. But hey we just beat Fulham. And with Carroll, Diangana, O’Shea and soon Dike and Philips on the bench ... the squad is looking stronger.
