Having reflected on it, we now need to rest the players and get them fit and ready for Wembley.
Plymouth are at home to Cheltenham on Tuesday but then have to visit Ipswich next weekend which will be tough. Wigan & MK don’t play.
The weekend of our final MK host Shrewsbury which will not be easy although Shrewsbury are almost safe. Wigan host Bolton which will not be easy (local Derby) and Plymouth host Oxford. If Plymouth win all 3 they will be level with us having played two games more. If MK beat Shrewsbury they will be a point behind having played one game more. Wigan need to beat Bolton to knock us into second going in to the final.
Anything less and it is better for us.
The following Tuesday, Wigan host Accrington in their final game in hand , which could in theory, in the worst case place them 5 points in front with level games. The following Saturday, we host Charlton, MK visit Wimbledon who also desperate for points, and Wigan visit Lincoln.
So, no panic, the lowest we can be when we kick off against Charlton will be second, even in the worst case scenario. By then we hopefully will have a full squad (near enough) and be rested.
Keep the faith & up the Millers.
Ps I have not ignored Oxford but I will mention them if they beat Plymouth.
