    Guy has done his best but he is a walking sicknote, when he gets injured its long term.

    We need a new striker in the summer that isn't even a debate and not a kid who might be good we need someone who is ready now.

    Others are out with the same same injury, look to the training regime as the common factor, not the player. Bamford ran the line two seasons ago, he doesn't suddenly get "delicate".

    He's only had one full season - last season

    Bamford at LUFC;

    2018-19 - 22 appearances - 9 goals
    2019-20 - 45 appearances - 16 goals
    2020-21 - 38 appearances - 17 goals
    2021-22 - 9 appearances - 2 goals

    Not quite a single season wonder, His strike rate, even for the 2018/19 season, was on a par (thereabouts) with the last Championship and first PL seasons. Interesting article on MSN (which I can't bloody find now!) suggesting that there are three other players suffering from more or less the same kind of injury, with the training techniques seen as being a major contributor, so maybe Marsch will change things?

    Yes, the first season was riddled surprised he played 22 matches but you will find a few of them were cup games.
    Had a couple of good seasons but the injuries have returned in a big way and that does not forget he is 4 years older and his body won't be able to recover quickly or properly. Might have been better to let him miss the season after his first hiccup now he will be forced out longer and if needs surgery well who knows. I fear the guy's time is close to the end.

    All the first 22 were Championship league ties, not cup games.

    Which given there are 46 games in a season in the EFL means he missed over half the games - as I said.

    He has played 5 or 6 full games this season and 3 cameos.

    I like him as a player and how he has improved but if he can’t get fit enough for the demands of a full season then in a squad of 18 he becomes a challenge.
