A quote from Richard Money is his barely contained rage after a game. A rage that seemed to have no limit, it boiled on forever.
Those eyes............ ARRRRGGHHHHH.
Ipswich away, your not really going are you? The entertainment value will be zero. It does pose a philosophical question, would a Cambridge game be better without halftime, or halftime without a game?
Without a game, but having a halftime, you can turn up at Portman Road, spend fif**** minutes having a cup of tea, then go home, sounds ideal to me.
I might even go. It wont take up a day.
Another reason to go would be like going to a funeral, to check if United are dead. Dont bother, there are still signs of life. You could stay home and turn on the vacuum, it will be more entertaining than watching a slow kebab.
Are Cambridge fans akin to Tallulah Bankhead.? On having life saving surgery for venereal disease, she spoke to the surgeon saying" dont think that has taught me a lesson".
I have to say yes, that if you look at attendance figures, people still go. Watching a Cambridge game is the same as hoovering up, or scraping away accumulated grunge from the innards of the female body. Not only do they go, but hand over hard cash, having worked for it.
They say that doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result is madness.
Going to Ipswich and expecting a result , and watching Cambridge games generally, is high ranking lunacy, craziness, over the top optimism, singing its a wonderful life by Lois Armstrong, or whatever it was called, while being dissected by a nazi doctor, concentrating on your teeth, or lower regions.
Or both, plus your eyes for fun.

Cambridge won at Ipswich Frank. You must be so disappointed.
Yes i am, thankyou for some unexpected empathy. I have detected some sensitivity i thought you did not possess. Maybe you will go on to offer support like, " its only a matter of time", in regards to Cambridge expressing the usual failure.
This unexpected foray into a higher league is an anomaly, like spotting a white crow.
I wonder if there is more going on that meets the eye. Persons who have no belief in a higher power can access the power of all that is, the Universe, by exercising the techniques that bring change and success about, a belief is not needed.
Just look at rich successful people who are essentially, hopeless human beings. The Germ Corbyn for one.
And look at those whose lives are a mess, physically and emotionally. Where does it all come from? Whatever that occurs, happens for a reason, nothing is a fluke.
And i have proof. Apart from mind blowing stuff that has happened in my life, i must ask how Greg Taylor is doing. His injury is demonstrable, in the thread this is not a joke, and those after.
Likewise, an ordinary bloke, from the back end of Coldhams common, a junior coach, junior is an understatement, irrelevant, one reserve game, or was it a youth game, can rise up and take a bent, inadequate, hopeless football club like Cambridge into div 1, and win at Newcastle and Ipswich.
That is not a fluke. There is more to it than coaching and being a manager. I could envoke the same in response, maybe i should levitate Bonner into an alien craft to be done with him, and the club can return to the normal game that is the equivalent of a gob in the face. But i shall not.
What i can wish for is for Bonner to leave. Think of it as done.
