Heard the same story ump**** times about folk coming back into Scotland.

Summer 2020, I was in 11 different European countries over July/August and the closest I came to catching it was speaking to a neighbour who had been to Blackpool.
At the time the propaganda was all about nasty foreign countries spreading disease.

This year, Scotland's rate has been higher than England's despite the mask wearing nonsense.

Now you can legally avoid wearing one if you're a religious nutter but it's two more weeks for the rest of us.
Fortunately a large percentage of folk are just ignoring her pathetic attempts at dictatorship.
It's important that we don't encourage her.

Well, I guess all we can do is go by our own experience. I live in a place where people generally wear masks, and up until a week ago I was on the verge of being one of those loony deniers who thought the whole things was a hoax given the lack of impact it has had on my immediate circles (fortunately I am not a conspiracy theorist loony).

Having now caught it following a trip to a place where mask wearing is non-existent, I am inclined to add my personal experience to scientific brains such as Christian Drosten (the Chris Whitty of where I live) and Chris Whitty, who probably know just a little bitty more about such things than us or the esteemed c**t faced Johnson! Personally, like Sturgeon (who for the most part I am not a huge fan of), I would err on the side of caution and wear something that doesn't really have a massive impact on my daily business if there is even the remotest chance it might protect others, particularly the vulnerable.

Or maybe we should just lock up the vulnerable so we don't have to wear a mask now and again when in a crowded space.

But equally, I respect your decision to think that covering your face in crowded areas is a ridiculous imposition forced on you by a dictator. I'm no scientist, I'm not going to tell you you are wrong on this point, I just don't agree and am sharing my own experience.

The problem is that many, many people (I could hear Commandant Lassard when I wrote that) are not and have not been wearing them when/ where they should, "because it's a lot of shyte".

How effective they really are we will never know due to folk knowing best.
