    Akshata Murty.

Akshata Murty, Sunak's wife may not have done anything illegal but it doesn't sit well with me that she is non domicile in this country. After all she is married to our Chancellor of the Exchequer and lives at No 11 Downing Street. She could have a dual passport but prefers to retain her Indian roots and heritage. Don't tell me that politicians aren't influenced by their wives and her Indian heritage could compromise Sunak's decision making. I don't know for how long that she can retain this status but if she is so averse to becoming a British citizen, why come here in the first place.

    This is an absolute disgrace.

    Morally bankrupt.

Sunak should be told to resign or be sacked.

In my opinion you are where you live, especially when married to someone and spending nearly all your time in a country.

How can you see people struggling in terrible circumstances yet choose to finagle your tax arrangements in this way when married to the Chancellor Of The Exchequer FFS?

My opinion of Sunak has gone rapidly downhill over the last few months, I think that this news totally scuppers his chances of ever becoming leader ( thankfully )

I actually think he’s a terrible Chancellor with a high taxation agenda anyway.

His wife is shameless though, what a horrible piece of work.

Agree Mick and did say!! He’s slimy t wat all out for himself and he’s done zero for those that need desperate help. Not having a windfall tax on energy companies was outrageous. The rich get richer!!

Sack the c unt but Boris is on the make too!!!

To be married to the Chancellor, a British citizen and to then live with him all year round at 11, Downing Street yet choose “Non Dom” status is a f u c k I ng affront to the British public and the country in general!

I’m far more outraged about this sort of thing than I am by fluff like “Partygate”.

This is an insult to every British citizen.

How the hell could she possibly the PM’s wife?

    It’s an untenable situation.

It once again speaks to a lack of understanding and basic nous within political parties that no adviser ( at the very least ) or fellow party member has pointed out years ago that this won’t wash.

We haven’t seen old 123 on here much recently but I think I’d be agreeing with him 100% on this we’re he to comment!

I just wish Labour would rid themselves of Raynor and the remaining Momentim/Corbynista rabble that are hiding in plain site and staying quiet at present.

The Tory’s are taking the p I s s with allowing Sunak to do this.

Non Dom status should be made impossible for anyone who spends more than 4 weeks a year in the U.K. and it should be banned for anyone married to an MP.

Totally agree Mick! How can one of the richest guys ( himself ) and then the huge riches of his wife represent those who are in poverty for food and now heat! Would he understand? Would he care? Talk about levelling up - ha ha!

What's his motivation for this job ( 100 grand a year at most ) with being one of the richest couples in the country?

Sick to f uck of government ( including Boris ) not giving a f uck about those that are crying out for help to make their rich chums even richer including lining their own pockets!

Get him out!!!! Would never vote Tories again with these scum bags in!

They do it cause they can...
I left the UK back in 1994...and it was rife even back then.
Talk about an invasion coming at the right time for many leaders!!!

I never get blind sided by these things that go on all of a sudden. I remember the fckers and their horrible ways...Like the day before 9/11...and the American defense guy stating 30% of the then American defense budget was unaccounted for....WHAT?????
And before some serious questions get asked ....bang... something just happens to roll along in time.
    Not noticed it?

Murty-like so many of the very wealthy- has acted purely out of self interest and greed and has non domicile status so that her assets outside of the UK cannot be taxed here. This has nothing to do with protecting or retaining her Indian heritage as she could easily have dual citizenship and ethnicities/culture aren't dependent on wealth.

As for her influence on Sunak, well I guess we are all influenced by our partners (which may not always be an entirely bad thing sometimes&#128512 but then we are influenced by many things. All that is important for those in public positions is that they act accordingly and fulfil their duties honestly and do what they say they will do with transparency and no corruption. (Yeah, right!)

As Murty resides here for so much of the time she should not have non domicile status but a lot of this anger against her is around the fact that a lot of people have finally woken up to the fact that one of the biggest issues in the UK is the huge divide in wealth and how disproportionately distributed this is. If an Indian -or other-businessman/woman was in this position who was not super wealthy then there might be some degree of sympathy about them not wishing any business they had worked hard to create in India also being taxed in the UK but when you are talking about the very wealthy who seemingly have so much money they don't know what to do with it at a time of such general austerity and hardship, this really grates. And -of course-it is the fact that she is married to the Chancellor who can have such influence on us all financially. No wonder it doesn't sit well!

So true - this b itch has 200 million worth of shares invested in a company in Russia and surprise surprise she was one of the last to halt business in Russia whilst all the big brands pulled out!

It stinks!!!! Always said Sunak was a crook and looks after his wealthy chums!

Talking about looking after his rich mates - why did this c unt give a 100 grand donation to his old boarding school in Winchester? Do they really need the money?

What about all the struggling state schools near Winchester?

    W anker!!!
