I don't think anyone is claiming our owners are 'perfect'. I'm sure they themselves would admit they aren't perfect and that they still have plenty of things to learn after two and a half years running a football club. It would be extraordinary if they didn't.

One of those things may well be that whilst it's a good ambition to try to develop a team with a clear identity, the club can't afford to get too idealistic about the football we want to play in the lower leagues. Results like the ones at Chesterfield, Stockport and Torquay suggest there is learning to be done on and off the field about finding the right mix between the silk with the steel, and we haven't done it yet. Hopefully, that lesson will be learned irrespective of whether this season ends in success or disappointment.

HOWEVER, I certainly think it's true to say that there has been much, much more to like than dislike about the way the Reedtz brothers have stabilised and run the club, with their calm, understated approach compared to some of their more erratic predecessors. I'm not getting any more carried away by today's shocking loss than I was by last week's superb win. Sometimes it's the nature of football and you just have to take the positives and negatives from both and learn from them.
