I attended the game today with a mate with the remit that if they played ok and showed a spark of grit, determination and nous then we would bite the bullet and renew our season tickets for next season. However, today's game convinced the pair of us that today would be the last time we attended a game at The Hawthorns. We are both finished with it. It is actually a relief to know that I won't be attending any more. I will still look for their results and I still hope they will eventually come good again and be a team to be proud of, but this 69 year old won't be witnessing it. I am done.

Someone should copy this and send it to the club and local media outlets.

When so many people who have supported this club for 40 to 60+ years come to this conclusion then something is terribly wrong.

Many of us witnessed 3rd division football and Woking, Gould, Smith, Little, Buckley, Wylie, Styles, Saunders and yet we stuck with it.

The place is rotten to the core.

I’m not going back until this cancer has left the club.

Of the same opinion. Didn't renew my season ticket this season because of Covid and glad that I didn't. Can't see me renewing next season and not because of Covid either, but because of too many inept performances.

Felt exactly the same a few years ago after having a season ticket for 30+ years its a wrench to start with but you soon get over it when you see/hear the results/performances come rolling in

    Just pick your games now

I made a last minute decision to go to the game today, BIG mistake. If we have this team next season we will be fighting relegation. What I would like to know is what Steve Bruce does with this lot on the training ground because I could see no evidence of any team performance today. In particular, Andy Carroll wins pretty well everything in the air with the ball dropping invitingly in the box but no other player anticipates it, so Mr Carroll is rather wasted. There is no creativity whatsoever in midfield and Carroll apart, no threat whatsoever in front of goal. As for next season, there is no chance of us renewing our season tickets; what a dreadful state the club is in and the buck stops at the top, Lai.

West Brom boss Steve Bruce told BBC Radio WM:

"We were caught in the first half with a free-kick and the second one is like something you see on a school-boy pitch. It sums the afternoon up.

"Simply not good enough and if we're being honest we were never anywhere near it. It was our third game in six days and I toyed with changing even though we won in midweek.

"I thought we looked jaded - we didn't have the spark
we had in the week but I don't want to make excuses.

"We have to have a team that is capable of mounting a challenge to get out of this division and they [the fans] are not going to be happy if they see the team in mid-table."

Look jaded but leave it alone.....

Glad I didn't go although was tempted after the win in midweek. This year's season ticket has ended up being a waste of money given the number of matches I have now missed. I shall wait to see who we recruit and get rid of in the summer before deciding whether to renew.
