    I see your point Vike.

The signing didn't excite me at the time and maybe a better forward on loan with a view to buy would have saved us 25 million to put towards the summer....

However that said, he does a job and its paying dividends now and I get the feeling he is no primadonna who will throw the toys out if and when we get a couple of new strikers.

25 mill is nothing to our owners and in todays market - and we needed a solid striker fast without being done over too badly in the transfer market.

    Happy hes here.

He's paid for himself. All the January signings have been spot on IMO.

    For sure.

But I have to say EH and the rest of the lads have stepped up too. Trippier has been injured and Wood has only had a couple of goals while Bruno is only now getting the minutes. Burn and Targett stand out for me.

It was in the name of one of the rival NUFC forums so the algorithm that runs this forum is designed to filter that out.

    Ridiculous, really.

    Agree with this.

Was £25 million to much. . . probably.

Was it worth it though - yes.

Viking is right, we might have got some European player in but if it had take that player time to settle and Wood had banged a few in for Burnley, we could have been in different situation.

He'll be 3rd or 4th choice next season, and the season after he'll be sold or loaned off to a Chimpo club but I don't think he'll fuss to be honest, think he's a solid pro, who knows exactly why he was bought.

Yeah - he will be on a decent wedge and have commanded a decent signing on fee so everyone is a winner. Still think he’ll be on another level for a while with a mobile partner up front - Wilson or a new signing who can stay fit next season.
