Conference League third qualifying round for 4th and second qualifying round for 5th providing Hibs don't win the cup.

Football-wise we are poor to watch 90% of the time, bizarrely we tend to get worse if we take a lead.

Of all the teams outwith top 3 I actually think we have the easiest job to kick on next season and failure to do so will be down to negligence if we don't recruit players for the top end of the pitch. We are pretty solid, and seem to have a preferred system capable of putting points on the board.

Recruiting a player better than McNulty will be the easiest task in football this summer, if we fail to do so then heads should roll. It's also blatantly obvious we need creativity so let's focus on those 2. We already know we are solid at the back so dont need to go trying to find random 5th choice CH's

IMHO if we keep the majority of that team together and sign the players we are crying out for we will start as strong candidates for another top 6 finish next season as i think a few other clubs need much bigger changes.
Yes, we need cover for ageing centre backs, possibly a new keeper, more creativity in midfield and a decent finisher to partner watt

Mulgrew, Edwards, Butcher, Graham and Neilsen will be enough at the back I'd imagine. I really think that if wave off McNulty and bring in a proven goalscorer and a creative spark in midfield (remains to be seen whether we already have that in Cudjoe, Meekison, Moore etc) then I think we can definitely be a better team to watch next season. 4th place will still be a great achievement in my book and tbh we can't really expect much more

If we were to finish 4th this season it would be an absolutely incredible achievement by the club.

We'd still have folk on here morning about the quality of the football though. 🙂

Edwards certainly isn't ageing at 28. We'll need cover for Mulgrew however, if Butcher, as rumoured, has indeed played his last game for the club.

I definitely think Meekison could be our long term answer to midfield creativity. The boy's class. Whether he's ready for next season or not is another matter.

Striker(s) simply have to be next seasons priority however.

Agreed. 4th would be outstanding regardless of the quality of the league. Top six in itself is a great achievement given we were a Championship team two years ago, lost Shankland in the summer, have lost both Fuchs and Pawlett for half a season without replacing either and have gone a whole season with McNulty & Clark as our main strike force.

I sincerely hope the rumours are *******s but they don't appear to be going away unfortunately.

For the remaining 5 games we have to put absolutely everything into the games v County and Well whilst going for the throat against Hearts too. The old firm games we need to be focused on being as hard to beat as possible. If we beat County and Well we should be pretty well positioned for 4th I reckon. Let's see how much we get shafted when the fixtures come out though

Not to mention the outrageous, but necessary, cost cutting exercise we did in January.
