I can't remember who said it, but there is a thought that politics is not a line from left to right, but a circle.

Which would make Far Left and Far Right actually quite near to each other on the political spectrum.

If you look at where Russia have typically used their financial influence it is in the Far Left and Far Right. Its why Le Pen and Orban in Europe, and the Venezuelans and Cuban governing parties are probably in receipt of Russian money right now. Its probably why neither Corbyn or Farage have criticised Putin's actions and have instead shifted blame onto NATO. It wouldn't surprise me if pro Brexit groups received plenty of Russian money, it was certainly in Russia's interest for us to leave the EU in order to weaken it.

If the Russian people ever wake up to what is happening, and force regime change, it won't just be Russia who benefits. It will be many countries throughout the world whose shady Governments they're propping up.
