Don't get me wrong, it was illegal and wrong and Johnson should be punished for it, if not now, at the next ballot box. However, Blair should be behind bars instead of making a fortune from after dinner speeches around the world and pontificating about other political situations. His lies had disasterous consequences.

We are having a discussion about a current Prime Minister who it has been announced has recently broken the law and 4 months ago misled Parliament - and the best response you have is from 20 years ago? I've never seen a more whataboutery response.

You cannot compare the two. The Iraq war is for another day and another thread. Right now, Boris Johnson knowingly lied in Parliament. That is proven and he should resign. To say he shouldn't resign because of Blair and the Iraq war, isn't really a very coherent point.

That's part of Labour's constitution, which is why Prescott was deputy to Blair, and Starmer tried to take it on at the last party conference. But I'm not sure the Daily Mail would tell you that

What I can’t understand, is what Labour gains from Boris resigning. People won’t forget this and I doubt he’ll ever win over millions of voters in 2024. It’s basically Labours in the bag provided they don’t cock it up.

But if he goes and someone else comes in, promotes change in the party and has a good two years to promote reform…then surely it won’t be too easy for Labour.

Ask any copper what is the biggest obstacle against a successful conviction and they will always say the CPS. Who was top of the tree of the CPS? At least Starmer is consistent which the definition of useless!!

Putin must be laughing in his Vodka knowing that some of the U.K. and opposition politicians are more bothered about cheese and wine parties than his soldiers executing civilians and gang raping little girls!

    You can’t make it up!

Labour are too busy acquiescing to trans activists which isn't a wise move when you consider that 51% of the population are female.

I've never said that he shouldn't resign, what I've said is that it shouldn't be now.
