So as to my original question, is this a first or has it been in the game for a while. No reason why it shouldn’t continue, games are paused more frequently now for rounds of applause for various reasons.

Given that football is inclusive. Or at least it should be. This is fair enough. Has it been done in the past is irrelevant, it will certainly happen moving forward.
I’d suggest that those not involved in Ramadan wouldn’t need to take on fluids and food, therefore the in particular bit is unnecessary.

It was done in German football the other day and the ref got lots of praise for common sense.

I believe players can only eat/drink again once the light has gone.

It will become a regular thing due to health of the players etc as it should do.

Unbelievable comment. This is the sort of intolerance that causes a lot of our world problems. I think you need some directed education.

2 positives with them doing it.
1 You have time to go the toilet
    2 Players can get instructions

Yep agree, I’m sure religious intolerance in Muslim countries etc is a lot better than here and clamped down on.

Did I say that? I find all intolerance unacceptable whoever are the perpetrators. You clearly think it’s ok to be intolerant because others are. Hence the problems will never end!
