    Robin Koch positions

Think if played & had some decent game time in his proper position of CB, he could become a decent player for us.
Had some injury issues, clearly not suited to playing as DM/CM, but has all the makings of a good defender, maybe wants to toughen up a bit to Prem style football, but he seems wasted /lost playing in midfield.

Steady on talking about Koch and positions you might get into trouble if you google it.

Think he is a very good CB and should be played there

Yeah, not built like most CB But I think he would be a better fit than the other useless Spaniard. In our side, though you cant have 2 the same Cooper whom I don't rate but since coming back has been solid and not stupid like the past. I think Pat has fallen off the cliff and they won't play him another one gone by year's end.
The best paring would be Cooper Pat but what do I know James will be CF in the city match lol

Koch much like Struijk is being made to look a donkey by playing him in a position he just isn't suited to.

Think given a run at centre back he could prove to be an excellent player

Agreed - Koch and Struijk could be a really good pairing for us for years to come with Hjelde and Cresswell pushing them on.

Yep. CB for me, never midfield. Agree with Joel about Struijk as well. Perhaps our new man will work it out

Be nice if we could start putting players in the positions they were bought for...someday...maybe.

Struik hasn't been the same since herr klopp got him sent off.
He's been like a rabbit in the headlights since.

Sadly if the press is to be believed we will never know
Koch has been badly treated since arriving in as much as he hasn't had a decent run in his preffered position as opposed to say Roberts who had 101 attempts in his preffered role. Koch is a full International with Germany so cannot be useless

As Rev and others rightly point out we need to have players playing in their natural positions wherever possible - something that Bielsa - and now Marsch seem to disagree with.

God forbid we flog Koch this summer to a rival, only for him to come back and haunt us.
