Well, that interview with IB just topped it off for me. If that's his approach to the players then God help us, no passion or fire in him at all and, whilst being calm can be a positive attribute, there's a sometimes a need to show emotion and employ plain speaking. He's certainly not inspiring me and I would guess not the players either.

When the Manager doesn't show any passion or intent on the touchline or in his interviews how can he transfer the same into the players

You sound surprised. Burch has been entirely consistent in his interviews, method of play and performances right from his first game against Hornchurch. Always reasonable, always tried to play decent football and mostly does, always comes up short when the occasion demands a little bit more than just the plan A.

Can’t defend, lack physicality and battling qualities. Smallest squad in the league too. Management don’t seem to appreciate the importance of clean sheets and not gifting goals to the opposition.
Sadly, I can’t see us progressing until these issues are resolved.

Can you blame them? They are playing excellent football and are the form team in the division.
They are the local team with the majority of fans in the Nottingham area what do you expecf?
Next season they could be playing the likes of Liverpool and Man City while we probably will be entertaining Boreham Wood and Eastleigh etc.
If the boot was on the other foot we would be delirious with excitement.
It hurts and I hate it but it is understandable.

    This.

You can accept over the course of a season, there will be 2, 3 maybe 4 games where you just don't show up, it doesn't click etc. We seem to do it on a regular basis. We rarely lose having played well, instead we seem to all out capitulate. Forget the playoffs. This team is as spineless as a jellyfish.

Stockport 2-0 down now. Big opportunity for Wrexham who still have to play them at home.

To be honest, after a good first 30 minutes I thought the performance against Weymouth was dross too. We overplayed, lost the ball in bad areas and looked a shambles for most of the last hour, but the fact that we won the game against very weak opposition papered over the cracks.

We have nothing beyond playing well. Invariably when we play well we win, but this side just isn’t capable of going ‘okay, we’re not quite at it today, we just need to grind our a win’. There’s a total lack of spirit and fight when things are going a bit wrong.
