For me I believe that in defence someone on the field, ( Tarks?) has to organize our defence. For Warlords goal in the 8th min. Warlords had
6 players positioned just outside out Goal area, the goal area not the penalty area, we had 4. We have a back 4, so what about Brownhill and Cork ? Having a smoke just near the penalty area line? The result was an unlucky bounce off Tarks! GOAL !!! If this scenario is repeated again and again, for sure goals will be scored! ( Six attackers against 4 defenders ) Someone in central defence has to control the defence because in that position he seeing all the areas of the defence. Player's playing on the left or right of the defence would see/notice only their own flank.
Then if nobody is controlling players positions, it's like a case of the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing! The result ,it could be that the opposition score .Then if we fail to score ,each time we will drop down the league table.
You're a hard man to please Balan, only 9 teams in the PL have conceded fewer goals than us. Defensive organisation is not one of this team's defects, we have conceded 46 goals, of the others down amongst the dead men, Leeds have conceded 72, Norwich 71, Watford 69, Everton 55, Southampton 58 and just for interest Manchester United 52.

Of course there's always room for improvement, but it's our defence that will keep us up. I don't worry about it.

10 minutes to go, 1-0 down, no Dyche, no Westwood, no Cornet, no Weghorst, no JayRod, but still we win.

    Funny old game football.

I am sat here in the lobby of the Stirk Hotel with other wedding guests feeling very happy. The weekend of fire and fortune is going to plan so far. Watford despatched at the death and Leeds slammed. I am here with three granddaughters all Clarets- one is the bride today, the others bridesmaids. I have a reading to prepare and much to celebrate!

You sure you haven't mis-spelt Outwood, and you were at the Stork in Burnley ? Although to be honest, I'm not sure it's still standing.

No. It was definitely the Stirk Hotel on the Gisburn Road and a delightful place for a wedding. Back home now in Outwood and wondering if we can keep this winning run going against the Villa. I don’t mind who goes down now as long as it is not Burnley.
