It shouldn’t matter if they’re born in Witton Lane Lloyd, it should always be a matter if they’re talented enough and worth trying in the first team.

We gave debuts to Robson at 17, Statham at 17 and Asa Hartford at 17.

Lukaku was leading the line for us on loan at 19 in the Prem.

What on earth is wrong with managers like Bruce and Pulis, if you don’t try talented youngsters you’ll never know.

Izzy Brown got a few minutes as sub in the last match of a season under Pulis, maybe just maybe, if Pulis had played him more he might’ve stayed with us and not had such a wasted career.

A mate of mine is a good friend of Sam Field’s dad.

Four years ago Pulis told Sam’s dad that Sam was the best young midfielder player he’d ever coached and that he was “a big part” of his plans for the coming season.......the reality was that Sam hardly had a kick.

Field is far better even now than any other midfielder on our books and he grew up an Albion fan.

So Lloyd, even if we sign the best young actual Albion fans as kids, spend 8 years nurturing them to the point where a manager says he really rates him and we still can’t use him then what is the point!?

They need opportunities and they need development. I honestly believe the drop of younger players now at Chelski would not have come through if they had not have been banned from recruiting more older players and had to give the likes of Mount, James, Gallagher and several others chances.

We don’t need players to be good enough to be top 6 material. I can’t believe so many have been good enough to play for England in age teams and then not make it with us.
We don't have anyone of that calibre Yarm. Chelsea have had an abundance, that's how we got Lukaku and Gallagher on loan. If we had anyone of that talent they would have been in the first team here. Consistently high level is the problem. One decent game doesn't cut it.
