Totally agree. The singing/backing from the home crowd was pretty poor most of this last season. I normally sit in the east stand at the north end. You can usually hear the away fans, even when they're not very numerous.
For the Charlton game I had to sit in the east stand near the away supporters, and the volume of noise from the north end was very disappointing. Could it be the design of the acoustics? Or is it that we can't sustain loud noise for more than two verses of "c'mon you reds"?
I don't suppose our home crowd is anymore negative than the average crowd, but there are some miserable buggers who seem to relish having the opportunity to moan.
Let's hope that we start next season with the volume turned up to 10 and the negativity turned down to 0.
