Given that the average wage for championship players is put at just over 4K a week by the PFSA I'd be sceptical about Cleary demanding that much but certainly not the right attitude if even partway true and can't blame the club for standing up against this. On the other hand, of course, the lad is probably looking at the salaries some of the first team are on given their recent shocking performances and thinking to himself why not?

Tbh, I thought it would be higher myself esp as those clubs that had dropped down recently from the Premiership would obviously pay considerably more and this would skew the average figure but thats the figure the PFSA quoted. In anycase, £20k a week is not something we should be paying for someone with no proven ability in the championship regardless of potential. Would def. like to keep him and see him given a chance in the first team but shouldn't give in to these sort of wage demands (if true).

I went to both legs of the youth cup final in 1976 and the one in 1969 when Cantello played. I don't go out much these days, I enjoy comfort.

Our first allocation of around five hundred tickets were sold fairly quickly. An other allocation of one thousand have also been sold and I understand that we have asked for more tickets. Should be quite a crowd there.
