    All is forgiven…

    I’m joking of course.
The performance today must be prefaced by the fact that Barnsley were the worst side I’ve seen here this season.
Notwithstanding…a spirited performance with a hat full of glaring missed chances and of course a missed penalty. Whilst I prefer the penalty taker to blast it on target, Grant’s effort was well placed and credit to the keeper for a decent save.

Button again did what was asked 7
O’Shea’s best performance by far 8
Clarke & AJ similarly solid 8
Molumby & Reach undoubtedly their best also 7
Livermore & Phillips disappointed me 5
    Furlong ok 7
Diangana looked his most threatening this season 7
    Grant 7

The 3 youngsters substituted looked nervy but did not let the side down. Well done lads

Good to hear the singing return and the tremendous reception and chanting for Gera as he walked around the ground at half time. He certainly added to the atmosphere.

I was persuaded to go the game today, a long day but all over now.
I had no idea Gera was going to appear at half time, so unfortunately missed it.
The crowd were in bouyant mood singling about old players and managers alike.
Thankfully we scored 2 in the 1st half, I loved the 2nd goal.
Left shortly after grant missed the penalty, but the train was cancelled, in other words, Nothing changes.
    Roll on next season

We were in the hospitality this afternoon and Zoltan was doing an interview session in there and wandered around amongst people. Bob Taylor and Daryl Burgess in there too, having a say on matters Albion. All in all, a really enjoyable day out.

IMO I don't think O,'Shea has the size or strength to play as a centre half in this division, but I can see him playing right back instead of Furlong who I think technically is a really poor footballer.

Grant's penalties are c rap that's 3 missed if I remember correctly (all at home) and we've not had loads. He matched his highest tally today and hope some is as stupid as us buys him for the same studio money we paid for him when he hit 18 for the Terriers.

The fact no other player wants to take the ball from him and the constant clapping by the intended recipient of a s hit pass which goes miles wide is really annoying imo.

We need a captain and players who don't tolerate that c rap. Someone like McInnes, who would stamp out this acceptance of tur dness.

Regarding the game it was like u23 game, with to play for. Maybe I have missed if before, but lots of fans in the east stand weren't even clapping when we scored let alone stand up and celebrate. They just sat there like nothing had happened.

Still don't see why Palmer hasn't been given a second in goal under Bruce. He's 25 I think and it's shocking we still have him hanging around without giving a chance. His previous loan clubs' fans rate him highly.

We’re in the East Stand (lower) and around us there was indeed more singing around is than has been evident than in the latter season’s games. Amusing to sing the songs to Slaven Bilic, Gareth Macauley, Gera and others from our former years. An endeavour emanating from the Smethwick to create some last match atmosphere and make a point !
Very few costumes and inflatables though. (Mind you I gave my legs an airing)
We were unable to stay for the post game activities…how did it go ?
