Really? I find this quite baffling tbh, but each to their own. Over 12,000 packed Tannadice for the AEK game. Similar vs Slask & Dynamo. I'd expect more to turn up for an home European tie than a home game vs Killie tbh. All three were great occasions. As were the away ties. AEK was my first European away trip with Utd and was everything I wanted to experience (bar not having away fans) whilst watching my team and partying with Utd fans in Syntagma Square for three days.

Yep, I've not really seen anyone who's said they are happy with the style of play. But refusal to give credit to the management for potentially finishing 4th with an unbalanced squad and virtually no fire power is just churlish in my opinion. Comments like the 'head in the sand brigade' make me laugh tbh when it's coming in the same breath as ganging up on people for voicing their opinion.

Its just so fvcking frustrating, things like ibrox were embarrasing. I suppose some folk get more annoyed at the odd poster tryng to defend the indefensible. Each to their own and it could be argued those posters are just more glass half full folk and positive. I look at the table and think fvck sake thats amazing, i got to a game and think fvck sake i never want to go back. Of course we all end up going back.

So really stoke has his opinion, the positive posters too (i wish i had that positivity), some banter and some aggressive stuff. i like the board even though i scratch my head at some of the comments. then again i probably contribute to most of the scratching of heads when i post angry/p!ssed/nuts

Something just not right with our recruitment, squad, selctions etc and thats always going to get negative comments (from me included) when performances are as woeful as they have been.

Interesting - chicken and egg. I tend to agree (and have prasiedbeing 4th!!) - deep down i want Courts and Tony out BUT maybe the issue is all Tony's or maybe its we have too many cooks in background, maybe courts doesnt pick team. The key issue is the unbalanced squad, no creativity, lightweight kids being thrown in not ready, obvious ommissions that should start (freeman), weird subs and lastly no striker and lastly again resigning players who were p!sh first time round even as loan players. So whoever is responsible for all of that or the majority of that needs to change or leave. 4th is epic really in circumstances but with the same p!shing in the wind as last two seasons we could be in trouble next season.

So i agree with everyone (except for the bits i dont agree with)

Most people on this board had us tipped for relegation once Tam had been announced. Whether or not the football has been sparkling, he has done enough to convince me that we need to stick with him and build this summer. The recruitment has been a mixed bag, but the January window was a shocker and I've been as vociferous as anyone else in this regard. We only need to beat County on Saturday to most likely finish 4th,maybe even just a point depending how other results go. It's easy for people to say how shyte the rest of the teams are( Stoke assures us that they will all be improving imminently mind) but perhaps its more likely that the league has just been very competetive this season. We have taken 4 points off the Europa league finalists so we can't be as bad as all that, can we? And just to add my name to the terrible trio, I'd absolutely love to have Harkes and Butcher available this week.

I've said several times that I'm delighted with 4th. But the football is eye bleeding most of the time. Our gates are falling.

But if some guys are happy with that so be it.

And yes, I read this board every day because United is in my blood. I read other boards too and they seem to allow realistic assessment of how bad we are without people jumping on them continuously arguing otherwise. And constantly making excuses like we lost 10 players in January. We still managed to field 11 players every week who can barely pass the ball accurately through midfield.

Just wondering if you have fully considered the precarious position we are actually in? More on that in a sec.

I was one who, while concerned about his lack of experience, was open minded about TC and his chances of consolidating our position. While it is great that we are top 6 and are currently in pole position for European Football, i cannot ignore how last seasons table finished and how little different we have performed. We really do not need another needless change of head coach if we want to progress from here though!

Our precarious position! We need to avoid loosing too many goals and hope the other teams take similar horsings! Results have went our way all season and i am always concerned our luck will run out. I mentioned a scenario where all 3 teams in the mix for 4th can end up on 44 points where we need to avoid a 6 goal swing to Motherwell and defeat to County. Remember, its not just about Europe, its about more money for higher up the league as well.

And while i think Harkes should be allowed to leave as he has not proved good enough, often enough, it would have been good to have him over the last wee while, but i would also say we have missed Pawlett! Not so convinced about Butcher, as apart from his outstanding displays as a defender, he might have just went that step too far in midfield.

TC, just get the joab done!

I am still to be convinced we did loose 10 players who made a contribution to the team. Please anyone, come up with a list of players for me as Wiki says 12 players departed all season.

We sold Shankland and didn't replace him
    We re-signed McNulty
We sold Fuchs who brought energy and tenacity and took a gamble replacing him with a slow unfit Kevin McDonald. It's hard to be critical in any way of a footballer who's come through what he's come through but facts is facts.
Most of the other players that went out weren't getting game time anyway, Glass, Chalmers, Appere etc

It's not about the players that have left, it's that some still playing aren't good enough and Courts doesn't seem to be able to coach them how to play linked up creative football.

I'm not suggesting we change Courts by the way, but I feel the answer is about signing midfield FOOTBALLERS and a good striker to partner Watt.

I will be honest our your midfielders are not going to make it. Got the skills. Not much else and certainly not in this league. A few 16 year olds look better than meekison etc. I shouted for his inclusion. I was wrong.
