Notts have been absolute masters of failing to turn the screw when in a winning position many times in the last few seasons. When they were 32/4 facing a 107 run first innings deficit it should have been game over. We are still in a strong position, but if the lead gets beyond 200 I'm not sure we'll have the mental strength to chase it down even on an easy pitch.

Worried it is due to the weather copnditions. Clearer skies and the scored better, tomorrow we will get more cloud cover.....

I don't think it is a case of Notts failing to turn the screw, it seems to be a weather dependant pitch. When cloudy the ball has seamed around all over the place, but as soon as the sun shines the movement goes and it becomes far easier to bat on. Hopefully Notts get to chase a target with the sun shining.

In that case we need to take the last two wickets quickly. Sunny today, rain and cloud tomorrow.

233 should be a reasonable easy target, but we lose a wicket in the first over!

Ended up being the comfortable win it should have been, and good to see Joe Clarke finally play an innings of substance.

At least one Notts did the business.
