Because since they won the top league title in 1890/91, they’d won it every 24 years – 1890/91, 1914/15, 1938/39, 1962/63 and 1986/87. So, they were nailed on for 2010/11. What happened? I'm not a gambler normally but in 1981 I put a small bet on Tottenham to win the FA Cup on the basis that they had won in 1901, 1921 and 1961. 1941 was during the war of course. I won with odds of 15 to 1.

I seemed to remember Notts had a few promotions in season ending in 1 so I checked.
