    I'm not a gambler normally but in 1981 I put a small bet on Tottenham to win the FA Cup on the basis that they had won in 1901, 1921 and 1961. 1941 was during the war of course. I won with odds of 15 to 1.

    I seemed to remember Notts had a few promotions in season ending in 1 so I checked.

    Promotion year – 1897 1914 1923 1931 1950 1960 1971 1973 1981 1990 1991 1998 2010
