Had time to digest now and still gutted. I have to say I’ve loved a lot of the football this season but the issue with it is, if there are nerves then you get a performance like last night and we had no real outlet when we went long. As for the owners having no ambition and happy with non league, what a load of rubbish. They have spent millions already, Brexit has scuppered their recruitment strategy big time too. Depending on who stays this squad doesn’t need a massive overhaul but just some quality additions. If Wrexham go up I do believe the owners have a decision to make, as it will be an opportunity to invest whilst other teams aren’t as financially strong and will obviously give us a massive advantage if the recruitments right, but it can be sh1t or bust, I’d rather have a club.

Depends what you mean better as the end result was the same.

Burchnall has only had one season so it seems a number of our fans are happy to keep sacking managers if we dont go up straight away.

If rumours of FGR are true then he will go and I wouldnt blame him.

We've been on a precipice ever since we dropped into the fifth tier, but last night's result and the knock on effects of it such as key players departing and the financial consequences, combined with both our Nottinghamshire neighbours climbing up the ladder and the lack of support that may provide, could well tip us over the edge once and for all and I genuinely fear for the future of the club as a result.

I know we've failed in the playoffs in this league twice previously and we've still managed to retain some semblance of the club we once were in the aftermath of those defeats, but with the manner of last night's defeat and the fact that any decent players we have will be out the door as soon as they can, the best outcome I can envisage for next season is upper/lower midtable (akin to Torquay) followed by a continual decline into the abyss or, as a worst case scenario, we suffer another Coventry-esque hangover whereby the season devolves into chaos and the unthinkable happens.

Either way, I am not sure how long the likes of Torquay, Wrexham and Stockport have been stuck down here but I am almost certain we will spend just as long, if not longer, in the depths of non-league.

Apologies for being so negative guys, its just times like this when you start to question why you even bother with football; I'm pretty certain its 1% jubilation and 99% abject misery.
I'm going to wait until Sunday night to decide whether or not I agree with this post.

I thought I would consider my thoughts this morning rather than letting emotion get the better of me.
I've run the season through and tried to analyse how we have won games and how we have lost games and then how we handled big games like last night and using all that data I got the answer, we are still $h!t.

FGR, with an average gate of 2,430 and a ground smaller than a kippers arse?

    Au revoir Mr Burchnall. Enjoy.

Be careful what you wish for.
Not one bit. Lets see what he does when he moves on. He will be back in the NL. We have two 20 goal srikers, out of the 2, which would you keep?

I'm going to take a guess and say he would be far more bothered about the division they play in and the size of his salary than their average gates.
