That might be part of the problem. In recent years we have had such a shower of sh!t on and off the pitch that average now seems good!

So far our owners have given us the fabled 'stability' many craved for, but so far we have become a stable non-league club.

Very true, but it’s not out the question if we’d had similar past owners or to other clubs we could now be relegated or liquidated. Many won’t like the approach and we all feel frustrated we’re still in this league, unfortunately patience is the game, look at Luton now who have always ran a steady ship, their owner said he would rather have a club than worry too much what league they were in. The trouble with patience in football, is it’s literally years, I would suggest to most just try and enjoy it whatever league we're in, that is the idea of going to games and supporting your club, as painful as it maybe at times.

Quite. No matter how long it takes, if your club is financially stable you're always going to have a better foundation on which to build, even if it takes a long time. Those clubs that splash cash they can't afford may (or may not) get success in the short term, but somewhere down the line those bills come in from the taxman and elsewhere, and you end up worse off than you started, if you're still around at all.
