What's the Balmoral incident?

It’s an internet rumour made up by unionist sad sacks because they can’t handle seeing a woman in a position of power. It centres around her being in a lesbian relationship, having an argument in the Balmoral Hotel, which resulted in an iron flying out the window & the police getting called.

Obviously if you were the First Minister trying to have an affair, the Balmoral Hotel would be the first place you’d go to. No chance she’d get spotted there.

Would this be about the time that all three leaders of the main parties in Scotland were women?

If not, at least try to remember that this was the case.
The only two UK female Prime Minister s were tories and no doubt unionists.

You're probably right but this does sound like the perfect reason to get the old AbMad investigation unit back up and running.

We'd need to clarify a few points first, did the iron go through the window as in smash it or through an open window. Most hotel windows don't open which means we need to know if a travel iron could be thrown with enough force to break a pane of glass.

But, still on the iron point, if this was a secret, dirty night away (half a mile from work in the busiest part of Edinburgh) then I doubt the iron would have even been out of the cupboard.

Starting to seem some serious issues with this version of events.
